Michela Sheedy
Soulful, sultry, country music. Country singer-songwriter Michela Sheedy represents a steely edge to the Canadian country music scene. She has graced some of the most esteemed stages both nationally and internationally, including Country Thunder in Calgary and Kissimee, Florida, Big Valley Jamboree, Calgary Stampede’s Nashville North Tent and Coca-Cola Stage, Cavendish Beach Music Festival in PEI, Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, the legendary Ranchman’s Cookhouse and Dancehall, as well as Cowboys Music Festival Stampede Tent and Cowboys Dancehall. Winner of 96.5 CKFM’s Country Star Search and the Global Country Star Search, 4x Country Music Alberta’s Horizon Female Artist of the Year nominee, RBCxMusic First Up Emerging Artist, Notable Life’s Breakout Canadian Musician of the Year, as well as a finalist in several competitions including Calgary Stampede Talent Search, Country 105’s Rising Star Competition, and 2x, Top 12 finalist in WILD 95.3’s Project WILD Country Artist Development Program, Michela has hit the stage alongside Keith Urban and opened for acts such as Dallas Smith, Dean Brody, Aaron Goodvin and Lonestar. She proudly represents the NHL and the Calgary Flames as a performer of the Canadian and American national anthems, and contributes to efforts in fundraising for Calgary-based charities including Gems for Gems and the Alberta Music Education Fund. After the success of her debut single, I Make Bad Look Good (ft. Clayton Bellamy of The Road Hammers), Michela participated in Canada’s Music Incubator’s AE West program and spent time in Nashville focusing on her artist development and songwriting. Michela's powerful showmanship and distinguishable vocals will be cutting the trail for a refreshingly gritty, new sound to country music.
